How To: Conquer Job Fairs
It's Job Fair season, everyone!
You may notice, as the seasons change, more and more job fairs are being facilitated. Job Fairs are like "speed dating for companies." They are great in that they give applicants face time with employers and recruiters. They can also, however, be overwhelming and stressful. We want to give you a quick 5 ways to conquer each job fair you plan to attend this season. Happy Job Hunting!
Bonus: Follow Up: If you are genuinely interested in working with a company, one of the most important things you can do is follow up with the recruiter you met. On the next day, or even a few days after the fair, call, or email, or send a thank you note to the employer. Restate your interest in working with the company. Express how much a pleasure it was meeting them. Send another copy of your resume. Show your genuine interest in their opportunities, and set yourself apart from the rest. Remember, one call, email, or note will suffice.
