Job Seeker Tip #3 | Only Apply to What Applies March 06, 2017 / Kimberly Sanders "I see it all day, everyday, and it never fails. For years, recruiters and hiring managers have experienced frustrations, one of them as follows: A job ad stating the company seeks a Care Coordinator with a minimum Bachelor's in a Human Services field with two years of accompanying, qualifying experience, will bring back 100 applicants and resumes. Of those 100, around 50% will have only some, if any, of the above requirements. Candidates are on the hunt for gainful employment -- we get it. But, it is a big red flag to recruiters to see an applicant has not only failed to read the listing in full, but may have read and disregarded everything stated. I tell candidates often, "set yourself up to win and save yourself the time and aggravation. Pay attention to details."-Kimberly C.
